I got into Lima just before noon. It took 45 minutes to get to the Airbnb and in another two hours I was picked up to go on a 5 hour food tour of Lima.
I can’t think of a better way to start of visiting a city than through food. This 5 hour tour included a lesson in making a pisco sour, veggie ceviche plus tastings in some of the prime restaurants in Lima, including Amaz and Huaca Pucllana Restaurant, located within an archaeological complex with illuminated ruins dating back to 500 A.D
With just 6 other people and a wonderful guide this tour was blast: fun, entertaining, educational and exquisitely tasty.
