Squaw Peak

This is Squaw Peak from the North East.
Running a trail I have not run before, I noticed this massive expanse of space at the foot of the peak. The sparse, open and dry space was a bit surprising. I’ve been on it so many times before – in it; not on this elevated trail.
Taken with the Google Nexus 5x – it keeps surprising me.
