It’s only looking through the photos that I’m reminded what a great year it was and how many thing we/I did. Some happenings seem so far off in the past already. If asked I could not confirm for sure if it was this year or last year – that’s where the memory of the photos comes in.
I’m not quite sure when this photo was taken. It might have been early 2014 or very late 2013. Either way Lucas here is a pea, nothing compared to what he looks like now.

Goska and Josh on the couch.
Maya is a very animated dog. I can look at her and Rupik for hours. It was a stroke of luck when she jumped up on the seat, sat there for about and hour, changing position. I took quite a few photos of her, but this is my favorite. She is no sniffing here, this is how she rested for about 5 minutes. The shallow depth of field afforded by the f2.0 lens helped isolate her and soften both the back ground and the foreground.

This one was taken during the cool season. These are tangelos, some of the most delicious citrus we have and they have so much character with the rough skin, bright deep orange color and odd shape. This season they are not as large.

In early January Transatlantic had a concert in Los Angeles. It was then that we also visited a few niches in Beverly Hills including the beautiful Holmby Park where I got a few good photos. This one below is a favorite from there.

During a photo session with Joanna, taking photos for her website, Rupik could not stay out of the photos. He wanted to be there with us in the action. Here is another one that I featured on this site.

I didn’t post too many photos from out trip to Chicago. I’m not sure why. I like this one below. The bridge in the foreground stays up all the time. I like it’s dominant juxtaposition as a historic monument agains the modern high rises in the background.

One of my main trips and highlight this year was a 6 week long trip to Europe, including one of my favorite cities, Krakow, one which I would like to live in for a while. The Wawel Castle below in the late afternoon as the sun goes down, billowing warmth agains the magnificent stone and metal of this complex.

I know, these are not quiet in the proper order.
I forget the name, but it’s a natural bridge we visited as a group. It’s north of Payson. It’s no some place I’ve been before. Check out the little people for perspective on how large the space is.

On the Mogillion Rim with Josh, Goska, Joanna and I – a hiking trip around the lake to cool off.

The wind make a perfect photo even more so, throwing Joanna’s hair into the cool are as we headed back from a night in a cabin in Payson.

I believe this is the Salt River Canyon, also on the way back from Payson.

A visit to Krzysiek’s and Goska’s home. A great visit. Not such a great photo, but that’s not what matters here. Please excuse the socks, but they are comfortable.

Wujek Leszek with Karolinka. She started walking and talking during my trip there.

This scene of soldier galloping on their horses down Nowy Swiat was heart thumping and emotional for me. I was I was able to take better and more photos. I can still feel the thunder of the hooves, the weight of history and majesty.

Just one example of street art in Lodz. Definitely a place I want to go back to and one to keep an eye on as the alternative culture develops.

After thinking about it for a few years I finally got a chance to ride the Szlak Orlich Gniazd from Krakow to Czestochowa. This 200+ kilometer bike trip was grueling, exciting and a blast. There is so much history here, so much to see and the scenery is so beautiful.

Cycling in the Austrian, Swiss and Italian Alps. Yip, did that too. The 8 days on this trip were just awesome with amazing riding, blood, sweat and spectacular scenery. I would do this trip again and again.

Again, the lovely Joanna with the Wawel Castle in the background.

During a bike trip with Joanna to Tyniec we saw this creature sleeping on a ledge on the side of the cliff just over the wall from Tyniec.

Last is this quick snap shot of Maya and Rupik in the bed.
